COMMANDS
OVERVIEW OF TASK.IT COMMANDS
Task.it has the capability to be used without ever leaving your calendar.
Everything you can do on the task.it website, you can also do using commands.
Once you have connected Task.it to your favorite calendar, you can add other commands described below.
The key to converting an ordinary calendar item to a task.it scheduled task is by adding the activation keyword "task.it" to the NOTES section of a calendar item.
Be sure the Task.it keyword is written BELOW any other text or links in the NOTES section of a calendar item.
Task.it will reschedule the item every 30 minutes until it is complete. Your default workweek is used if you don't use any other commands to specify the time window. You can mark items as complete on the Task.It website or simply remove the activation keyword "task.it". All other commands, such as ON, DEADLINE, or others, must be written below the "task.it" command. Any text above “task.it” will be ignored.
The "task.it" command is not case sensitive

RANK command
EXAMPLES:

RANK 0
TASK.IT
RANK 5
Rank specifies what order Task.it will schedule your items. No items can have the same rank. If two items have the same rank, the entire list will renumbered.
If you give an item a Rank of zero, the entire list will be renumbered, and that item will be given a rank of 1.
URGENCY & IMPORTANCE commands
EXAMPLES:
TASK.IT
URGENCY 2
IMPORTANCE 5
If you are a fan of the Eisenhower Matrix for prioritization, you can give items Urgency and Importance attributes.
Priority rank is determined by multiplying urgency by importance (priority = urgency * importance). Events are sorted based on their priority with lowest numbers given the highest rank.
Rules:
1. NOW items have an importance of 0 and are ranked first for scheduling.
2. DEADLINE items have an importance of 0 and are ranked second for scheduling. Task.it will calculate its urgency based on how many days till the deadline is due.
3. Items with URGENCY and IMPORTANCE commands are ranked third and are scheduled in order of their priority (i.e. urgency*importance) with lowest numbers scheduled first
4. Any events without urgency and importance declarations will be rescheduled last.
The Urgency and Importance commands are not case sensitive.
Stacking commands
EXAMPLES:
TASK.IT
ON Sat 11a-2p
ON Monday
ON Tuesday

IMPORTANCE 5
You can stack multiple commands on top of each other, given that the commands do not contradict. For example, you can use the start date command to set when the Task.it can begin scheduling the event, and you can also specify what days and times Task.it is allowed to schedule using the ON command.
